01
Changes in emotional wellbeing or behaviour
02
Anxiety, low mood or emotional dysregulation
03
Attention or neurodevelopmental concerns
04
Communication or social interaction difficulties
05
Sensory processing or everyday functioning needs
06
Learning or school participation difficulties

Self-harm or non-urgent concerns about safety

Choosing the Right Referral Route
Parent or Caregiver Referral
For families seeking guidance, assessment or support for their child.

Professional Referral
For healthcare professionals referring a child or young person for specialist clinical input.

School Referral
For schools referring an individual pupil with appropriate parent or caregiver consent.

School Partnership Enquiry
For schools interested in wider support for a pupil cohort, staff or school community.

Information Required
The referral form should gather enough information for the clinical team to understand the reason for referral, current concerns and any immediate safeguarding or risk needs.
Relevant reports or supporting documents may also be requested. Only information necessary for the referral should be provided, and clinical information must be submitted through the secure referral system.
The referring person must have the appropriate authority and consent to share information about the child or young person.
The Process
The team reviews the information provided and checks that the referral is suitable for Hiba by Anthalora's outpatient services.
The referral is considered according to the child's needs, urgency, safeguarding information and level of risk.
A member of the team contacts the family or referring professional to explain the next step or request further information.
The next step may involve an initial consultation, a specific assessment, multidisciplinary input or signposting to another appropriate service.
Submission of a referral does not guarantee acceptance into a particular service
How We Support
Appropriate parent or caregiver consent must be obtained before a school or external professional submits a referral, unless another lawful basis applies.
Information will be handled in line with applicable confidentiality, safeguarding and UAE data-protection requirements. Details will only be shared with relevant professionals where appropriate and permitted.

Emergency and Crisis Support
Hiba by Anthalora is an outpatient mental health service and does not provide emergency or crisis intervention.
If a child or young person is in immediate danger, at risk of harming themselves or others, or requires urgent medical or psychiatric attention, contact the appropriate UAE emergency service or attend the nearest emergency department immediately. Please do not submit an online referral or wait for a clinic response in an emergency.
The Clinical Pathway
Every family receives a clear and structured journey, from the first referral through to personalised intervention and ongoing progress reviews.
A family, GP or school gets in touch. We listen carefully and gently open the door to support.

Where to Begin
Complete the secure referral form and provide as much relevant information as possible to help our team review the child or young person's needs.
